Vercovicium is a legionary auxiliary fortification built along Vallum Aelium for its strategic command of a gap within Whin Sill. Housing roughly 1,200 soldiers Vercovicium serves as a line of defense to the civilian settlement directly south.

Venta Silurum

Located just south of Vercovicium Venta Silurum is the last trade settlement one will find within the bounds of Roman territory. Originally a Britannic village the native peoples have assimilated, commonly intermarrying with the Romans and, for the most part, becoming loyal subjects. Many of the soldiers stationed at Vercovicium have families residing here.

Vallum Aelium
Vallum Aelium, commonly known as Hadrian's Wall, is a defensive fortification dividing Roman controlled territory from that of the barbaric tribes of Britannia. It is the most heavily fortified border in the empire, spanning roughly eighty miles from fort Segedunum to the shores of Solway Firth.
